I gave it a 4 because the 88 pier sauce is really good and they give you a lot of food...I ordered 3 of the famous boils I did not like the corn it was overcooked or something and my kids did not like the sausage they say theirs were rubbery but mine were fine and they give you A LOT of sausage...the shrimp, crab legs and potatoes we all agreed were pretty good and I dont think any of us touched the egg, it sucks they don't allow substitutions...I would order from there again because I really liked the sauce and they give you enough food to have left overs and because it's closer to me than crazy crab is
I have enjoyed every meal I've eaten from Pier 88. My only grievance is the abundance of oil at the bottom of the shrimp boil. The food is perfectly seasoned. The shrimp are never overcooked. They are plump and juicy. The sausage is never ending. The fried shrimp is delectable as well. You can reach them, conveniently, by 🚌 or car!
Well ...here it is , this spot was on to try list for a while so my mother and I went and the cajun chicken wings were pretty good, then came the pick 3 combo of fried catfish, shrimp and tilapia...some pieces was overcooked and I couldn't tell the difference between the tilapia and the catfish....good flavor but overcooked, and the Thailand steamed rice was a no go....but however the HAPPY Hour Long Island Tea was on point.....
2/15/2020 - Was the worst costumer service we have ever had! Once there we waited 40 minutes to be seated (not too horrible). When we were seated, pretty sure we had Zay, however she never told us her name. My husband only got her name because of the receipt. When she talked to us she was so quiet, we couldn't hear her. We ordered our food and an appetizer (Onion Rings). We got our food first (Very good!) and then our appetizer HALFWAY through our meal. Our appetizer was cold and nasty. Our waitress never checked on us and kept disappearing off the floor, so we had to continue to wait on her for our check. While waiting for the waitress to come and give us our check, I saw another Waitress talking to her table with her hand down the back of her pants!!!!That is the first and LAST time we will ever eat there.
Good food. Nice portions. Interesting selection of sides. Getting tired of the methods used to maintain separation.
It was our 1st time here. We were a party of 10 all of us 1st timers. Wowzers!! The food was AMAZING!! If you like seafood this is a must stop. We all will definitely be back no doubt
The food was good and our waitress was nice but if you see a man with a headscarf under his cap cleaning tables and you leave anything of value behind, KISS IT GOOD BYE. The bussman claims he gave my phone to someone else, the management and other staff were helpful and offered to look at the cameras and stated there was no evidence of him putting the phone in his pocket and he did give to someone else. My issue is the fact that he didn't give the phone to management and took it upon himself to go outside AND give it to the WRONG person. There was a party before us with a missing phone too and I find that to be too much of a coincidence.
Came recommended by a friend. I will never eat there again. We ordered the Fried Shrimp, Fried Catfish and the Low Country boil. Very little crab, 5-6 small legs, 2 very empty. The shrimp was best part and lots and lots of sausage. The corn... you can’t mess up corn, BUT they did. Hard and dried up on the cob.
Amazing new hidden gem!! Great portions, reasonable prices. The staff is personable and hilarious. Fun drink options. HIGHLY recommend.
Great service and food. Perfect place for celebrating my birthday 🎂
The food was good. The atmosphere was not enjoyable. The service was SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. The server was not very friendly, and I did not get all my change back. I also didn't get a receipt, so I asked a different server to print one. I wanted to be absolutely sure how much change was owed to me. I am usually a generous tipper. This is the first time I didn't leave a tip. I figured she already helped herself to her tip. I am very disappointed.
Very tasty and a good little feast. I placed my order for pickup online. The food was ready for pickup in less than 16 minutes. The restaurant is pretty busy with tons of hot seafood coming out. The pier 88 seasoning blend is very tasty. The shrimp are a very nice size and the potatoes so good.
Phone just rings a few times and then goes to an automated message saying that they haven't setup their voicemail. What legitimate business does that? Double checked their website to make sure the number was correct and sure enough it was. Thanks for wasting our time looking at the menu and then trying to call in an order.
Favorite auto Southbridge and they would not allow the substitute a meat. Only potatoes or corn was available for substitution. I feel if you don't have no meat uses substitute with another meat. Walmart is across the parking lot.
I had never been exposed to this place before a couple months ago, but have grown to enjoy it despite not being the biggest fan of seafood. The food is always fresh and comes to your table quickly. Also, the fried catfish is some of the best I've ever had.
Love this place! The sauce was really good and there was enough foo for two days.
The food was great! They have generous portions especially for the prices. However our service was not the best. We sat at the bar and the bartender was only attentive to her regular customers. We and others waited to be served while they carried on with their personal conversations. She needs to learn to value all customers and make them feel welcome. It's possible they'll become regulars too.
Excellent boiled dinners are available here along with fried options. My friend and I each had a different boiled meal—-arriving in a plastic bag with a metal serving plate. We chose the garlic butter seasoning in mild. His low country boil was plentiful, but it was difficult to extract the crab meat as only plastic forks were provided. He asked for a metal fork or knife, and none were available. (Next time we may take our own!) My half-pound boiled shrimp meal was filling. This is a casual restaurant that seems to fill early. Parking can be tight. A disposable bucket is provided with bibs and plastic gloves. Our server was really nice. Recommendation: Use the bibs! We will be back!
So delicious! We were told there would be a 45 min wait but it was not that long. Once sat the food came out super fast and hot! The entire staff was friendly and attentive. Very keto friendly!
Delicious! Asked for medium/mild spice and that was almost too spicy for me. (I don't take heat well anyway lol). Didn't taste much of the lemon pepper though. Will definitely be back. The waitress Diamond was very nice also.
The meals and service were above our expectations. We absolutely enjoyed the environment of this restaurant. Awesome place to take my family out for dinner.
Best seafood spot. Quarantine, stop. The service was excellent. Friendly and timely. Wiping off everything of someone touched something. I cant wait to go back 🤗
Went on Christmas Day, the server was amazing, very good at explaining their process. The food was great! Only downside is you have to pay for the tools to eat your crab with. Or bring your own?
Fast friendly service and the food was incredibly delicious. Ordered 2 of the boil bags and food was cooked to perfection. I highly reccommend this restaurant for your next dinning experience. I give it a 9 out of 10 only because I could be of eaten lots more of this food.
Really liked the food. Even of you don't like seafood there are a few things for you. Appreciated the prices. You can spend a lot or a little depending on what you want.
I’m gonna preface this with, I’m from Louisiana. So I am used to very fresh seafood that is seasoned very well. They boil to order I think, because we waited very long for our food to come out. Which me and my husband wouldn’t have had a problem with if the staff all hadn’t completely avoided our table while we waited. The blue crabs were not cleaned and one was rotten inside... all the other seafood we got was good, the seasoning was nice and the potatoes and corn were good too. I’m giving it 2 stars because of the service and the blue crabs we received.
This was the best seafood we have eaten in ages! This place had its grand opening and im sure as word gets out it will be packed! Will be eating there again. Great portion sizes. We had catfish baskets, fried oysters, calamari and the boiled seafood combos. Amazing! If you have not been here yet and love Creole and Cajun you must try this!
I had been hearing about this place for awhile. Decided to finally give it a try. It was okay, but it wasn't everything that people hyped it up to be. I ordered the crab boil. Not very much crab, but a lot of sausage and potatoes. The seasoning was very salty, like almost unbearable. The drinks taste like they use the cheap stuff because it almost has a rubbing alcohol flavor. I may try it again and just try something different
For Kansas City it's AMAZING... However, Texas is the spot to get this type of seafood in. I did love that they've managed to include boiled eggs. But the eggs were clearly not boiled by them and 109% taste pre packaged. You can taste the chemical inside the plastic it was packaged in. And another dead giveaway, was that they were cold🤒. Other than that, the flavor was pretty good. Will let you know that they should work on their hospitality and customer service. Wasn't able to sample the sauces, just had to trust that the sauces were "very good" per the waiter, as if we had the same exact taste buds. But not her fault, the restaurant management should allow it. Wish I could give it more than 3, but????
It. Was. Lit. I ordered a pound and a half of snow crab in the house 88 seasoning for myself and it was the greatest. I ate every bit and it was just the right amount. My husband got the Low Country Boil and he had to take some of it home and that is super rare. We had the raw oysters as an appetizer and they were really nice too. Our server was great and checked on us often. The food came out super quick. No complaints at all.
There's two things in life that's essential and that's COLD Beer and Hot Spicy Seafood. Here I hit the Jackpot. Great place to get your seafood fix on. Stopped in for a late lunch with my wife, the wait staff greeted us at the door lead us to a table where waitress Halley gave us royal service.
I guess my tastebuds not on the same page as other’s wasn’t to good nor nasty to me. Great customer service, clean, and decent price’s. It’s worth another try with a different sauce.
Customer service was great, Jessica was very attentive and pleasant. Our food was good (seasoned well) and the menu items are reasonably priced with a clean and relaxed atmosphere.
This place is 🔥🔥🔥Seafood boil. Fried catfish and tilapia, shrimp and calamari. This place is gana need a bigger location soon
The bartender that waited on us was awesome! The boiled seafood was perfectly done. I am from Louisiana and am really picky about my seafood and how its cooked and they did a great job. We will be back!
Love this place. Anything fried your going to want to eat it fresh. All the boils and crab legs 10/10. The 88special seasoning is the best.
Amazing shrimp boil. Nice place with good service. Left a very happy girl.
My wife and I recently heard of this place not long ago and decided to try it after a long work day and not up to cooking at home. Got there about 6pm and immediately had a table. We both like calimari so ordered that and while we waited We asked some questions about their popular boil and decided to go with that and add an extra 1/2 pound shrimp. Soon after ordering, our calimari was ready and was delicious. Not long after finishing the appetizer our boil was ready. Smelled awesome and tasted the same. Our server recommended getting some rice and let it soak up some of the seasoning of the boil which was good as well. Service was great with frequent check ups. Will be back for sure to try some of the other items.
We were about to walk out, until Kat came and saved the day. There were 2 very large parties when we got there. It did take a little longer than hoped, but understand the challenges large groups create. The food was amazing. The crab and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The seasoning was great, maybe a bit salty, but I don't cook with salt. The raw oysters were delicious and our service was absolutely great. Loved it and will be back.
I love the food and drinks. The service is up and down. The servers are young and they act kind of immature some times but my last experience was good, so it's hit and miss.
Great food at a decent price. Especially for seafood. Low boil enough for 2. And I'm a hefty eater. More food for the price without mentioning their main competition. Can't wait to return for more.
This place is amazing. They were having a bit of problems in the beginning due to amount of people coming in at once, but after being seated our server (Niya) DID AMAZING. Overall great service, and the food was out of this world, and reasonably priced for what you get. Definitely worth it. I would usually post a pic of the meal but it was gone before I could do here is a plate ;)
I had the Catfish and sweet potato fries, delicious! Four big peices of Catfish cooked to order. Crawfish with potatoes, delicious! Cajun wings were ok.
My husband loves this place he said the food is fire. I say it's ok it kinda tasted like some kind of season was missing but it was cool.
My first experience was great. Service was fantastic. Wish I wasn’t allergic to seafood. Those books look delicious. Would be nice to have a shellfish free boil. Food was the bomb. Heading back tonight!
A new place for seafood locally and this location just opened not too long ago. The seafood boils remind me of Joe's Crabshack. The meal was a good solid midwest seafood serving. I enjoyed the meal I had, snow crab legs, a lobster tail with corn on the cob and small red potatoes. I enjoyed the corn more than any other restaurant boil I have had. You can choose your seasonings and the heat thereof also. I had the garlic butter, medium heat and it was good and what i expected.
Food was excellent. Hallee is the best waitress. Not really expensive. Plenty of food. Worth the money. Took home left overs had for dinner the next day. Been looking for a good seafood place FOUND IT!
I rated this place 3 stars because the service was disappointing. I'd say the servers name but she didn't have a name tag on. Took our drink order and then never came back... The hostess did though explaining that our server was super busy and apologized for her. Upon further observation it appeared that our server wasn't busy at all.... She had two other tables making ours a third...At one point we made eye contact and she strangely looked down to the ground as if she didn't just see me.... Although the hostess took over for her not once did anyone refill our drinks or even ask us if all was ok.... Empty dishes stayed on the table the entire time... Food was ok... Not amazed like I was hoping... Raw oysters were large and fresh.... Doubt if I'll be going back
I will start off by saying, this establishment is home to a lot of very loud people and family members just having fun and eating some great food. The atmosphere is not for everyone but if you’re looking for the best fried calamari you have ever tasted, that is not chewy but almost melts in your mouth then you have found your home.My wife and I love the boil bag that is full of shrimp crab sausage and other goodies! The first time we went we had a very nice waiter who was courteous and helped us was any little thing we needed even when I had my wife asked to change her drink three times 😱Now the second time that we went we had a very cut to the chase forgetful and overall unpleasant waitress. If you can go in with an open mind and just have a fun time with all that this restaurant has to offer your money will not be wasted!
It was really really good! Best seafood ever. Very pleased with the amount of choices for sauce and spice level and variety of seafood. Crab legs were meaty and really tasty, clams were delicious, and the boiled egg with sauce was an experience of its own. I would highly recommend it.
